The 12.1 megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 is an excellent choice at an affordable price. While it can only be taken to a depth of ten feet, it has a marvelous 4.6 times optical zoom and features excellent video recording. Sony continues to impress camera gurus and average consumers alike with its offerings that now cross into the waterproof category. Sony has several great point and shoot options. The first is the Cyber-shot DSC-TX10, which has a four times optical zoom lens and an impressive three inch LCD screen on its ultra thin camera.
